To be honest, play what you have fun with.

You have more than 1 character slot, so why not keep your Warrior for now and make an Ele, try it, dont like it, delete it.

You say the Ele is doing more damage, see, now this come's down to what build's you and that Ele are running.
Also, going from Warrior to Ele is different, Warrior has highest armor and a frontliner, Ele's have one of the weakest armors and cast from the backline.

But really, if your enjoying your Warrior, stick with it.

Last time I checked, melees under the same circunstances as eles would deal much more damage.

But it's up to you. Nukers suck btw, because they require the rest of the tanker-nuker-healer trinity to be effective. I'd say you should stick to your warrior there's a lot more to the game than dealing biss ass damage and while the warrior excels at that, can also do things a lot more useful that an ele can't, just check the godmode and earthshaker builds and their purpose, watch them in action, and you'll see what I'm talking about.

Knocklocking a bunch of foes or keeping a constant, unstripable 87% damage reduction on your team is priceless, and if you're thinkingn tackling hard mode, it's probably the best class you can have.

Its an old argument, and one few will still argue with, but Warrior has the highest DPS of any class. The reason is becuase their skills have shorter recharge times, and the damage is armor ignoring (+xx damage is not decreased by armor). Elementalist has long recharge times for most of the powerful spells, and since it is Elemental Damage, it is reduced by armor that monsters have, and in HM that armor is boosted, making Ele deal horrible damage.

What you are likely seeing as more damage from an Ele is AoE in NM. Things like Rodgorts Invocation, Meteor Shower, Fireball, etc. These take time to cast, time to recharge, and although the damage listed in the skill is higher than the skills Warrior has, it is slower in coming. Except for a few skills, Warrior is also dealing damage to one target, while most ELe builds will hit multiple targets.

As noted, stick to what you enjoy playing. If you want to try other classes, it will at least teach you how to play the Warrior better by learning what other classes do and how they do it. But if you need/want to do more damage, I'd suggest heading to the Warrior forum in the Campfire and asking for tips on improving your build (don't ask for a build).

If you're the one taking most damage (everyones around you) then you got the best potential damage. Whirlwind attack, hundred blades, and a hero with mark of pain churns out insane damage. I love my warrior. But my ele is my title char.

if you're doing poor damage on a warrior then you're doing it wrong. i can pretty much assume that your build is more focused on survival and if that's the case focus entirely or almost entirely on damage and let the monks take care of those wounds for you.

There is sort of an intermediate level, where the Warrier feels a bit heavy. Then it picks up again. Still, an Elementalist in pyromancer configuration can deal an absurd amount of damage to a mob of enemies. If you equip a number of AOE skills, the recharge time is not a big issue, but energy can be, in a prolonged battle.

Until they reach the harder stages of Normal Mode and enter Hard Mode. At that point, the Necromancer is the better damage dealing caster and the Elementalist becomes a utility belt.

When you're in NM, Eles generally deal a lot more damage with their AoE nukes and poor AI scattering. As the game progresses and you enter harder areas and Hard Mode (complete the campaign to unlock it), the ele's damage will plummet. You then take the lead for damage dealing and your only contestents are the other physicals (particularly the Assassin) and the Necromancer.

If you're wanting to deal damage in the harder aspects of the game, stick with a warrior. Create an ele by all means though, but remember that for these harder areas an Ele is best used as a support character.*

*An Ele can deal decent damage in HM, but they're still inferior to other options and require Cracked Armour and EBSoH for it to really get through.

to be honest dont think this will be a problem if u have elemental attunement and fire attunement constant up --> 80% energy cost

having proph-only limits the amount of builds you can play. having no heroes restricts any kind of midline support buffs for a physical character.

the most important thing for dps (damage per second) is an ias (increased attack stance). since you have proph-only, your only 2 options would be either frenzy or flurry. either will do just fine, make sure one of these skills is stapled to your bar. if you bring frenzy however, you will need a cancel stance--most likely either rush or sprint, i recommend rush.
